Take your wooden rolling pin and wrap it nicely with glad wrap. Cut masking tape and tape both sides of the rolling pin.

Then you can spread shortening oil to the rolling pin for you to work smoothly. Like your also using a Wilton plastic rolling pin !:) No need to spend money!:)
