STEPS
TOOLS
Gather your supplies.
Flip the paper face down on the scoring board, and score at three inches. If you don't have a scoring board, you can still score the paper at three inches using a ruler.
Fold the paper on your scored line.
Turning the folded side down, score at three inches and at nine inches.
Fold inward using the scored lines you just made.
Tape along the seam so that your paper lies flat and is connected.
Notice that one end of your tube has a inward fold. We'll call this side "A" .
The side with no fold will be called "B".
Line side B up with the side of the scoring board, and score at 3 inches. ( side B is on the left).
Fold on the scored line that you just made.
Open up side B, the folded part, and...
Flatten it so that it looks like...
This!
Bring the two pointy edges to the middle.
Secure them with a piece of tape.
Punch two holes through both layers of the top of your bag.
Put the four reinforcement labels on either side of each hole.
Cut you two feet of ribbon into two one- foot pieces.
Thread one end of one piece through one hole, threading from the outside and ending on the inside. Tie a double knot at the end.
Pull the string so that the knot is flush with the paper, and repeat with the other end. Be sure to thread from the outside in.
Repeat with the other piece of ribbon.
Open it up, and admire your handmade gift bag! If you have any questions or ideas for future guides, let me know in the comments.
