Preheat your oven to 180°C/360°F.
Mix the butter and brown sugar well.
Once well incorporated, whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
Mix until extremely smooth. The sugar should be sort of dissolved.
Then add in the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk until slightly (not fully!) incorporated.
Add in chocolate chips.
And whisk only till just incorporated. Don't overmix!
Dump it into a baking paper lined dish & bake for 30 mins. Then cover the top with foil (to avoid over browning) & continue baking for 10-15 mins.
Check after 40 mins with a toothpick to avoid overbaking! Once baked, let cool in the pan for 10 mins then inverted it onto a cutting board. Let cool for at least 30 mins before slicing.
