Pick out 4 or 5 colors of string. Each strand should be about 25 inches (fingers to neck) and do two of each color. Should end up with 8 or 10 separate strings(:

Knot all strings 3 inches from the top.

Attach knot with a safety pin (or tape) and pin to your pants or pillow.

Separate strands of your choice as a mirror image.

Take your outer most left color(mines orange) and make a "4"

Now knot the next colored string twice tight but not extremely. Repeat till you reach the middle strings (mine is brown).

Next leave the left side alone while changing to the right and knot in reverse like a backwards "4".

Knot all right side strings.

You will then have the outermost strings now in the middle.

Simply knot the backwards "4" twice.

Repeat previous steps with next color.

***Remember to knot each string twice.

By the 2nd or 3rd color you should start to see the pattern(:

Continue till it's about the length of your wrist.

I know it's a different bracelet I did but just knot and cut where you want.
