Start with two flat round cakes. Chill cakes in freezer for 10-15 min to ensure easy icing.

After cakes have chilled, choose one to cut into ears and a bow tie.  Make two cuts as shown.

Arrange cake on a foil lined baking sheet as shown.

Cut strips of wax paper and insert underneath the edges around the cake. This will ensure icing does not make a mess of your foil!

I chose ice the ears and bow tie separately of the face.it is easier that way!

Decorate as desired! I chose to cover the face and ears with coconut, use pink sugar crystals in the ears, and cover the bow tie with confetti sprinkles. Don't mind the yellow blob on the bow tie!

Using colored icing/gel and/or candies, create the face. And there you have a bunny cake!
