Put a layer of pebbles into your glass bottle. I'm using a large round vase. As long as it has a wide neck you'll be fine. Needs the wide neck so you can get your hand into the bottle to plant.

We found some mushrooms, don't let your kids touch/ eat wild mushrooms without knowing first if they are poisonous or safe to eat. Not sure if these are or aren't.

Keep the garden in a cool place where the light is good, but not in direct sunlight. The garden will need little watering, just spray it with water occasionally to keep the soil moist.

When pruning your garden, snip off any dead leaves or pieces of fern with scissors.
