Gather your ingredients.
Pour water and sugar into a medium pot. Bring the water and sugar to a boil over medium to high heat until sugar dissolves.
Bruise the sage leaves with the back of a spoon. Then, add it to your syrup mixture.
Set syrup mixture aside for 15 minutes to let sage mixture infuse. Then, use a sieve to remove the herbs. Set aside.
Puree the blackberries in the blender and then strain the mixture through your sieve.
To serve, place a tablespoon of the blackberry puree in the bottom of a glass. Then, add a tablespoon of the sage syrup and top off with 8 ounces of club soda. Serve with ice.
Garnish with blackberries and sage leaves. Enjoy!
