Make a Big Lanyard

I have been asked to start a lanyard with more that 4 strings. This lanyard will be 6 strings, so doubled it makes it 12 in total. The more strings you add can make it a little more tricky.

If you don't know how to make a lanyard check out some of my other guides... https://snapguide.com/guides/make-a-squarebox-lanyard/ https://snapguide.com/guides/make-a-spiral-lanyard/

Pick as many colors as you like. For this lanyard I will be using three colors

I took 10yards of each color and cut them in half. So each of my strings are 5 yards a piece. You don't have to do that long. I like my lanyards to be long in the end so I use more.

I have a 3x3 start. Glow in the dark/black/glow in the dark, then orange/black/glow in the dark. With the more strings you add you will get different spiral techniques.

Starting with the colors on the bottom, loop over each side. You will have six loops. I like doing the beginning loops in my fingers so I can have the most control in keeping the strings in place.

Starting with the Orange on the furthest side you will take the first string and go over under each loop. Do the same with the other Orange.

Pull all the strings snugly. It's best to do one side at a time.

This version is going to be spiraled. Starting with the Orange and Black strings loop them across from each other.

With six rows done this is what it looks like so far. I estimate that I will be making at least 36-45 rows. This should be fun.

I have a lot of lace to get through so I will be updating this guide as I work this lanyard until I get to the length that I want. You can always stuff whenever you feel it is long enough for you :D

I will also be adding a video of the steps so you can see what it looks like in real time :D
