How to make a beaded lizard key ring

Beading wire and plyers ( optional)

Your beads :)

After choosing your main colour put 5 beads onto about 1m of beading wire. Make sure they are in the middle of your wire.

Take one side of your wire and bring it round in a circle on itself so that it creates a loop sliding through 3 of the beads ( either side)

When you begin to tighten it should look like this...( make sure it is in the middle of the whole length of the wire)

And when fully tightened.... ( this is where you can use the plyers, although make sure you don't cut the wire by accident! )

Add 4 beads to one of your wires.

Take the opposite side of wire and thread it through the beads in the oposite direction....

Once you have threaded it through.....

You then tighten!

Add 5 beads ...

Repeat and tighten ...

Add 6 beads

( just to remind you what you're making and to maintain your will power !)

Repeat and tighten...

Now . Add your coloured bead then a black ( eye) and then 3 coloured and then a black ( eye) and then one last coloured one... These are the lizards eyes

Repeat threading technique and tighten

So far :)

Repeat previous steps. Threading and tightening coloured beads with this number on each row onwards : 5, 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 ... You will now have what is in the picture above.

Now for arms .. Add 7 beads to one side

Use the SAME PIECE OF WIRE and thread back on yourself through the 4 closest to the body...

...

Tighten ..

Repeat on the other side ...

Tighten...

Add 8 beads to one side and continue as usual using the opposite wire to thread through..

Once thread, tighten up...

Repeat row..

Repeat again!

And again!

Now your body is long enough add legs the same as you added arms

Looping process as with the arms ...

You need to tighten this

Tightened

( better picture)

Repeat for other side

Add 7 beads. Thread opposite wire through

Tighten to create a line

Add 6, repeat and tighten

Add 5, repeat and tighten

Add 4, repeat and tighten

Add 3 , repeat and tighten

Ads 2, repeat and tighten

Keep adding rows of 2 until your tail is the right length :)

Now for the loop add 10 beads

Add 10 to the other side

On one side loop one half of the wire through 2 beads on the other side

Tighten

Take the left hand side wire and loop it over to the right and through a bead( from left to right ) leaving slack.

In this loop...

Drop the wire from the other side through it to create a knot

Pull twist and secure as best you can and there you have it :) wire lizard ! Just attach to your key ring :)
