STEPS
TOOLS
Start off with your rolls.
Cut a piece about 20 inches long.
Cut another one and place it about halfway on the first piece. This is how you start a duct tape sheet.
See this piece? Fold it up.
Like this.
Can ya see the line?
Flip it over!
Place another piece, and cover the sticky part.
Flip it again!
Continue until you have a sheet about 16 inches tall. Trim the edges so the piece is 16x14 inches.
Make TWO 16x14 inch sheets. Then make TWO 16x6 inch sheets.
Make about, an 12x11 inch sheet of the pattern duck tape.
Tape it to one of the 16x14 inch solid sheets.
You need to tape the sides together. I don't have a step for it, I'm sorry! But I kinda have one a couple slides down that shows you how!
Take a piece of cardboard!
Cut it so that it is a 14x6 inch rectangle. This is where you use the box cutters. BE CAREFUL!
Cover it in duck tape!!!!!
Line up the cardboard and front of the bag and duct tape it together.
It should look like this. See those ends? Just fold them over on the INSIDE of the bag!
So! Don't put the fourth side on yet! Tape together the two sides and the front!
Put some tape on one of the side flaps, but only half way!
This is weird to explain, I apologize! But you want to bring it to meet the cardboard. Then fold the rest of the tape over it.
Now that you've tapes two edges to the cardboard, tape the back on!! Line it up with the edge of the side, taping it together.Length wise, see those little flappy things? Make sense? Fold those inside
Tape together the other side! Just like we did with the other.
Now just for the back! This parts a pain in the ass.
Put the tape halfway length wise on the cardboard. See? Press the back edge against it and secure it. You might have to get to it from the inside.
Now just for this corner!
This is a super pain in the butt. Again, halfway on the one side then bring the edges together. fold the tape over the other side.
Tada!
Tada!!! Again!
Now for straps... Again, start off like a sheet. I made it about 22 inches long, so when I trimmed it it was 20 inches long.
I only used 3 different pieces of tape for this, we don't want the straps too wide! Make two! Cut them the same length.
This is hard to see. I'm so sorry. But tape to the inside of the bag. Do this with all four ends.
Done!!! Unless you want to make it prettier...
Like this! Make some duct tape bows and tape them to the front and you've got yourself a great beach bag!
Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask!! :)
