How to knit long tail cast on

The tail should be to the left. Aprox 1 in/ 2 stitches. Pinch the yarn to the needle in your right hand.

Drape the tail over your thumb and the rest of the yarn over you pointer finger

Hold the ends together with the pinky of your left hands so thet the yarn is tight over you thumb and pointer finger. Pull the string above toward the needle point to form a V.

Move the needle left of the loop around your thumb, then push it through bach toward the center of your hand.

Move the needle to the right of the loop around you pointer finger.

Push the needle through the loop around your pointer finger back towards the center of your hand.

Push the needle back through the thumb loop from right to left (toward the outside of your hand).

Let go of the thumb loop and pull so the the stich is tight on the needle.

The finished stitch!
