How to knit a making one knit stitch or m1

To make an M1 increase you are going to knit into the looop between the stitches on the left and right sts.

Insert your left needle into the loop between the stitch on the right and left needles.

Next insert the right needle into the back of the new loop on the needle and then slip the new stitch onto the right needle.
