How to keep a bucket list in a cute, innovative way

I made this project on New Years Eve as my own sort of resolutions. This jar also functions as a cute way to keep a bucket list for the summer vacation, the year, or your life.

Find an empty Mason jar, or buy one, and clean it out. This one had jam in it so I had to eat tons of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and then clean it out with a lot of soap. Took me a while. :)

My mom gave me this stack of notes and I needed to come up with a couple of ways to put them to use. One of them I thought of on New Years Eve and I've been meaning to make a guide. A "bucket" jar!

Cut your paper into strips. The size doesn't matter as long as you can fit your words onto it.

Decide what time frame you want your goals to be accomplished in and think about some things you want to do within that time.

These goals could be something short term like a trip to the zoo or going to the midnight premiere of a movie your looking forward to.

Or something more long term.

You can get ideas online, from your family and friends, or from your own imagination. Want to know some of the things I stuck in my "bucket" jar, just ask!

Once you've made yourself a nice big pile and you're exhausted, whew, determine how often you'll "check things off".

Feed all of your goals into your jar.

You can decorate your jar with ribbons, stickers, tassels, quotations, or anything else you want. I hung some of my budgies' feathers from the lid. You can do whatever you like. Express yourself!

This colorful, attractive container looks great on any desk or bookshelf. The "bucket" jar has many uses. You could even use the jar to keep track of weekly tasks like homework projects and chores.

I keep mine up by my books where my ferret won't knock it over.

I have chosen to use my jar as my New Year's resolutions and also as a bucket list for my life. That means I'm going to go through my goals every year on December 31st.

I'm going to take out all of the goals I have accomplished in the previous year and put them in a separate box or jar, examine all of the goals left in the jar, and add in all of my new dreams.

Hopefully, I will have accomplished all of my short term goals. Wish me luck!
