How to join google +

Go to plus.google.com and sign in with your school email and password.

Fill in your details (the birthday is so they can send you a card!) and select "Upgrade"

You can follow topics of interest (not necessary), select "Continue"

Search for friends on Google + (not necessary), then select "Continue"

If you don't add friends you will get this message. Select "Continue anyway".

Fill in the extra details (not necessary but helps people find you), upload an image (recommended) of you, Then select "Finish"

By default you will be in the older version of Google +, give the new version a go and select "Let's go"

In the menu on the left, head over to "Communities".

There are three areas here (in the new Google +)

You can always go back to the classic version

Communities provide a space to collaborate, share links, pictures and ideas with a group of people. Give it a try!
