First, using an appropriate screwdriver remove the strap pins from your guitar.
Grab one of the strap pins and take it with you to the hardware store.
At the store, look for a metal washer that fits the underside of your strap pin but does not come out of the top side. In the case of my Fender Stratocaster the 12 mm washers were perfect.
Now pass the washer into the strap pin from the narrower side.
Next pass the eyelet in your strap through the narrower side. The strap will be caught between the washer and the guitar.
Screw your strap pin back onto the guitar.
Repeat for the other strap pin and enjoy your new cheap strap locks!
