Be sure to label the wires when removing your old thermostat. Nest even includes the labels in the setup guide on the page needed. They're kiss cut labels. Nice touch!

Once organized, inserting the wires is a breeze and very clear.

After installed, place the face on and turn your power back on. Nest starts up immediately.

Part of the setup process includes the on screen display verifying what you have connected. There are many more gems in the setup process that you'll come across.

Just turn the dial and the process for setting the temperature is intuitive and clear.

The screen actively changes to tell you what it's doing.
