STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Wooden spoon. Used for mixing ingredients. I can use wooden spoons when mixing muffin batter.
Tongs. Used for grabbing/gripping ingredients. I can use tongs when grabbing something from a pot.
Ladle. Used for scooping ingredients (like a deep spoon). I can use a ladle when serving soup.
Metal Spatula. Used for flipping pancakes and flipping things on a grill or stove. I can use a spatula when I need to flip pancakes on a stove.
Whisk. Used for whipping/mixing ingredients, such as mixing cake batter. I can use a whisk when mixing cupcake batter.
Wok. Used for making Chinese and Asian foods/dishes I can use a wok when cooking stir fry
Grater. Used for shredding cheese. I can shred cheese using a grater.
Metal Mixing bowls. Used for mixing batters. I can use a metal mixing bowl when making cupcake batter.
Microwave safe glass bowls. Used to mix things in.... And it's microwave safe. I can use this when I'm microwaving chocolate.
Custard cup. Used for small ingredients. I can use a custard cup when measuring small ingredients like blueberries.
Rolling pin. Used for rolling out dough. I can use a rolling pin when rolling out cookie dough.
Liquid measuring cup. Used for measuring liquids. I can use this when measuring milk for a shake.
Measuring spoons-tablespoons- teaspoons: used for measuring ingredients that you need little off. I can use measuring spoons when measuring vanilla extract when making cookie batter.
Rubber Scraper: Used for scraping excess ingredients from a bowl like batter, yogurt etc. I can use a rubber scraper when scraping excess batter into a baking pan.
Pastry Blender: Used for cutting into pastry and bread. I can use a pastry blender when cutting into bread.
Pastry Brush: Used to glaze dough and pastries. I can use a pastry brush when I glaze dough with melted butter.
8" cake round pan: Used for baking round cakes and breads. I can make a cake using the round 8" pan.
Pie tin: Used for baking pies. I can use a pie tin when baking a pie.
Loaf Pan: Used for baking breads, cakes etc. in a loaf form. I can use a loaf pan when baking banana bread.
Kitchen shears: Used for cutting ingredients such as raw meats and vegetables. I can use kitchen shears when cutting raw chicken.
Chef Knife: Used for cutting steak. I can use a chef knife when cutting steak and other meats.
Serrated Knife: Used for cutting bread. I can use a serrated knife when cutting and serving bread.
Paring Knife: Used for peeling fruits skins like apples,pears, peaches etc. I can use a paring knife when peeling an apple.
Utility Knife: Used for general cutting. I can use a utility knife when cutting a cucumber??
Vegetable Peeler: Used for peeling the skin off of vegetables or fruits. Like Potatoes, apples, cucumbers etc. I can use a vegetable peeler when peeling the skin off of potatoes.
Dry measuring cups: Used for measuring dry ingredients. I can use dry measuring cups when measuring flour.
Cooling Rack: Used for putting hot pots and pans on once coming out of the oven or stove. I can put my hot muffin tin on a cooling rack once coming out of the oven.
Colander: Used for washing ingredients and straining the water. I can use a colander when washing strawberries.
Strainer Fine Mesh: Used for washing ingredients and straining the water (basically a colander). I can use a fine mesh strainer when rinsing blueberries.
Sifter: Used for grinding down powder like substances like flour, powder sugar, sugar,baking soda etc. I can use a sifter when I need to grind flour into smaller grains.
Oven Mitts: Used for protecting your hands when inserting or removing something from the oven. I can wear oven mitts when putting a cake into the oven.
Rolling Pin: Used for rolling dough out to make it flat. I can use a rolling pin when rolling cookie dough out.
Saute Pan: Used for making stir fry. I can make stir fry with a saute pan.
Large Stock Pot: Used for cooking lobsters and or soups. I can cook lobsters or seafood in a stockpot.
Medium Pot: Used for cooking basically anything that isn't very small but isn't very large. I can use a medium pot when cooking mac and cheese.
Slotted spoon: Used for straining small ingredients. I can use a slotted spoon when draining dumplings.
Steamer Basket: Used for steaming vegetables. I can use a steamer basket when steaming broccoli.
Muffin Tin: Used for baking muffins. I can use a muffin tin when I bake blueberry muffins.
Kitchen aid stand mixer: Used for mixing batters ( cake batter , cookie dough etc.) I can use a kitchen aid when making chocolate cake.
Blender: Used for Pureeing, chopping,blending, and grinding ingredients together, or to liquefy them. I can use a blender when making a smoothie.
Mini food processor: Used for mincing and chopping ingredients. I can use a mini food processor when chopping carrots.
Jelly Roll Pan: Used for baking cookies, sheet cakes, and cooking vegetables. I can use a jelly roll pan when baking a sheet cake.
Silpat: A nonstick baking sheet, that you lay on your cookie sheet. I can use a silpat when baking cookies.
Can Opener: Used for opening cans:) I can use a can opener when opening a can of oranges.
Dish drying rack: Used for putting wet dishes on to let dry. I can use a dish drying rack after I wash the dishes, to let them dry.
Cookie Scoop: Used for scooping raw cookie dough onto a baking sheet. I can use a cookie scoop when scooping cookie dough.
Ricer: Used for squishing potatoes, and removing moisture from spinach. I can use a ricer when making mashed potatoes.
Cutting Board: A wooden slab or plank that protects your counter tops from scratching when cutting with a knife. I can use a cutting board when slicing fruit.
Juicer: Used for juicing fruits or vegetables. I can use a juicer when making orange juice.
Angel Food Cake Pan: Used for cooking angel food cake. I can use a angel food cake pan when baking angel food cake.
