First buy you coop from a pet shop set up your coop in a corner of your yard, let there be some sun for the chickens and put some hay on the ground and a little bit in the enclosed box for laying eggs
Set up you water system
Set up your food system with the correct food this can be a range of things but newly hatched chickens can eat a mix of grains and chook food, after one year the chooks can eat kitchen scraps
If you decide to buy chicks you will need to buy a heat lamp Start at 95 degrees and every week lower the heat by 5 degrees until it is 70 then 2 weeks after that the chicks can be put in the big coop
If you buy grown chickens you can put them in the coop now
Remember to check the poultry twice a day and clean out their cage when needed. Keep food and water full and you will start producing eggs approx one a day or meat when they are the right size
