How to Make Rainbow Cupcakes

First of all, add a few drops of the blue food colouring to some of the butter icing, reserving some to make white clouds later. Mix it and add more if necessary, making a nice sky blue.

Spread the blue icing over the top of each cupcake, making sure to cover all the tiny spaces including near the edge of the patty case.

Next, use a piping bag to pipe the remaining white icing onto the cupcakes to resemble clouds. One cloud on either side of the cupcake creates a footing for the 'rainbow'.

Next, cut the sour straps down to size so that they aren't too long or too short to reach the clouds. Place either end of the sour strap into the middle of each cloud.

Bend the ends of each strap a little, so that they are less likely to slip off.

You're all done! Repeat the steps with the remaining cupcakes and enjoy. :)
