Get all the needed ingredients, and pre heat the oven to 190 degrees/ gas mark 7.
Roll the pastry into a rough square and cut into four smaller squares.
Place the rasher of bacon on each square of pastry squares diagonally.
Add a handful cheese on top of the bacon rashers or try tomato and cheese for vegetarians.
Egg wash both corners of the pastry to ensure the pasty stick firm.
Fold over on corner covering the filling.
The fold over the remanding corner concealing the filling.
Egg wash over the top of the pastry. To give it an even golden colour once cooked.
Sprinkle with cheese to top the turnovers. Place in the pre-heated over for 15-20 minuets until the pastry has risen and is golden brown.
- Square of pre brought puff pastry.
- 25-30g grated cheese.
- 2 tomatoes. (optional)
- 2 rashers of bacon per turnover.
- Egg for glazing.
