You should have a open field where you can kick the ball and it won't go over the fence.
Set up the ball where you can take 5 steps behind the ball and two to the side.
Stand with your chest puffed out and your legs should be spread apart.
Time your run up. Practice this step a couple of times.
Make sure you strike the ball with the laces part of your foot to prevent spin which causes the ball to knuckleball.
