How to Create a Mini Candle Holder

Using a ruler and scribe, measure your sheet metal using the measurements 7cm x 7cm

Then cut your sheet metal with the guillotine

Using a ruler and scribe, mark out a cross from corner to corner.

Using the centre punch and ball pein hammer, create an indent in the centre of the cross.

Then using the divider, mark out a perfect circle.

Using the tinsnips, cut out your circle.

Using a file and vice, place the circle into the vice and begin to file the circle to get rid of the sharp areas.

Using a tinmans mallet and a wooden mould, place your circle into the mould and begin to hammer the circle. Begin from the edges and then gradually make your way to the centre.

Using a drill press and a clamp, clamp the circle and place it under the drill press. Make sure the centre of the circle aligns with the drill bit. Once this is done drill though the circle.

Now you have created your wax catcher. It should end up looking like this once you are finished. If there are any sharp or rough edges get a file and file them until smooth.

Using your flat bar (20cm x 3mm), file and vice, place your flat bar into the vice and begin to file both ends until smooth.

Using your flat bar and scroll plate, place your flat bar into the scroll plate.

Then begin to gently bend your flat bar around the scroll until your make a curl.

Now you have created your scroll. It should look like this. After you have created this use a ruler and scribe and measure 80mm and use the hacksaw to cut the feet out.

Using your ruler and scribe, mark out a cross from corner to corner. After you have done this get your centre punch and create an indent in the centre of the cross.

Now using your ruler and scribe, measure 1.5 cm from the end of the scroll. Then using your centre punch, indent a mark in the centre of that line.

Now using your drill press, get your scroll and your feet and separately begin to drill through.

Now using your scribe and ruler, measure out 1.5 cm on both ends. Once you have done this place your feet into the vice and using your ballpein hammer begin to hammer the ends.

Now using you pop rivet, get all the things you have created (feet, scroll, wax catcher) and align them all together. Once this is done pop rivet them together.

Now you have created your own mini candle holder and it should look like this.
