How to hold a tenor saxophone properly

How to assemble your instrument . First take the cap of where the goose head should go.

Clip the neck strap to the neck strap hole. Make sure the clip is facing up so that there's less of a chance of it falling off.

Then set it aside or back in the case, to move on to the next step.

Put the reed in the your in your mouth to get the reed ready for playing .

Make sure the ligature is in with the mouth piece. Put the reed under the ligature.

DO NOT PUT OUT LIGATURE ON LIKE THIS ! The reed may crack this way.

Tighten the screws on the ligature do the reed stays put.

Insert the mouthpiece to the goosehead.

Insert the goosehead to the saxophone . Make sure it's alined with the saxophone .

Tighten the screw on the saxophone so that the goosehead stays put.

How to sit with your sax. Let the sax. sling to your right side. Make sure your feet are flat on the floor. Sit up straight so that you'll produce a good tone and DO NOT lean on the back of the chair.
