Assemble your supplies
Ink up you stamp using VersaMark Ink
Stamp image onto your card stock
Cover stamped image with embossing powder --- once done, remove the excess powder and place back in the container
Use heat tool to set you embossing powder - here the left side of butterfly has been heated and the right has not
Here is the butterfly once it has been fully embossed
Take your sponge dauber and Classic Stampin' Ink to add color -- this part is know as emboss resist and the area that has been embossed resists taking on the ink color
If the project calls for it, cut out your embossed image
Here is a completed home decor project featuring g this beautiful Swallowtail butterfly
This is another example of the technique -- in this case the embossed butterfly was cut out using a Framelit
