You'll need a kitchenaid stand mixer and food grinder.
The food grinder comes with a coarse and fine cutter plates.
For this demo I used a sirloin tip. You'll want to use beef chuck or something fatty (about 85%) for a really good burger.
I am also using the fine cutting plate.
First you need to cut your meat into smaller pieces to fit easily into your food grinder.
First cut the meat into individual pieces.
Then cut the pieces into fourths.
When the meat is done grinding you can form it into burgers or meatloaf etc.
I'll make a quick burger.
It's actually a burger stuffer but it makes a good mold for a regular burger too.
Finished burger.
