How to give yourself a manicure

Begin with clean washed hands

I use a cotton round and up&up acetone nail polish remover from target.

File your nails to the desired shape. I recommend filing in one direction to prevent breakage. Avoid cutting your nails with a nail clipper because this damages the nail.

(OPTIONAL) To whiten nails and remove any stains on your nails put 3 tablespoons of baking soda into a small bowl.

(OPTIONAL) Add one tablespoon of hydrogen Peroxide to your baking soda.

(OPTIONAL)Mix it until it forms a paste, like this.

(OPTIONAL) Apply the solution to your nails with a q-tip and keep the mixture on your nails for 5-10 minutes.

(OPTIONAL) With your nail buffer, buff the solution off your nail. If you don't have a nail buffer you can use an old tooth brush. After that remove the extra with a paper towel.

Clean and white nails!

Fill up a bowl with hot or warm water and soak both of your hands for 10 minutes. Once you're done dry your hands.

Apply your cuticle remover to your cuticles and the sides of your nails. If you're using cuticle oil you can apply it using a qtip. Follow the instructions on the package to see how long to keep it on

I use Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover! I used to use cuticle oil and like this much better! It's much easier.

Push your cuticles back with your cuticle pusher.

Once your cuticles are pushed back wash your hands and dry them.

Now it's time to polish! Apply a base coat. I use OPI nail envy.

Since I am using a neon polish I am applying 2 coats of white nail polish on my nails as a base coat to make my polish brighter!

I used sinful colors snow me white!

If you're using white as a base color make sure it is fully dry before you apply your main color! If you don't wait the white polish will come off, that's what happened on my ring finger! :'(

Apply two coats of your polish!

Topcoat time! Tip: let your nails dry a little before applying your topcoat

I use Sally Hansen insta-dri!
