Our next unit of study is rocks and minerals so while planning. ....oops playing (sudoku ) I sent the kids out to get my needed backgrounds...
The assignment .... To take the iPad and take at least 10 pictures of rocks that we can use for our up coming unit of study. I showed the first....he / she was to teach the next person. Groups of 3!
Getting pictures for units of study can be sooo easy! Just have the kids do it!!
Once they have been added I would have each student create a snap guide adding their photos
You can add your assignments to a main guide .... Like add captions that are silly for the next 2 pictures.. Add you caption in the comments. Only use initials.
How about creating an environmental poster for EARTH DAY...
These first pictures were taken by a 5 year old using the iPad. In Anchorage, Alaska (KH-10/18/2012)
Add the ID tag to the first photo. Select it, Copy, then paste on the photos by that student.

As you can see. The kids love gathering data.... (I.e.-using a hand held device for learning).
