How to format disk in a mac

Click Launchpad on the Dock.

Click Other to access more app

Click on Disk Utility

Shortcut: Disk Utility are accessible via Spotlight too.

Select drive to format.

Click Erase.

For external drive which used for both Mac and Windows should format to ExFAT. For pendrive, FAT32 will do.
