How to fold an origami crane

Start out with a square piece of paper. Fold it on the diagonalis.

Fold it on half so you end up with a cross shape.

Rotate the paper so that you have a corner pointing at you. Collect all the corners so that they all point to you.

Fold on side to the middle. Repeat on other side, the flip over and do the same thing on that side.

Unfold the sides you just folded and grab the corner that is pointing at you. Grab that corne and pull it upwards so that the paper unfolds. Do the same thing on the other side.

Fold the sides to the middle. Repeat on other side.

This is how it should look. The fold the sides against each other so that the gap closes and rotate a quarter.

Turn the corner that is pointing at you upwards. Repeat on other side.

Pull the sides together and repeat on other side.

Turn the wings down.

Fold a beak and tail.

Pull wings apart so that the body flattens. Bend the legs so that the bird can stand better. Done!
