How to fold an origami butterfly

First we need to make a water bomb base. Start with the white side up and fold the diagonals.

Turn over, and fold in half horizontally and vertically.

Finished!

Fold the points, up to the top of the triangle.

It should look like this! Turn over.

Fold the model so that the bottom comes near the top. Make sure to leave a bit of space like so.

It should look like this.

If you turn the model over, there should be two flaps.

If you carefully pull down on them you'll notice the edge start to fold in.

Just collapse it like so

Make sure that the crease on the mini triangle, lines up with the base of the model.

Repeat on the other side.

When you turn over, notice the triangle at the top.

Fold it down as far as it will go.

Then fold it back up slightly, so that only a little bit of it sticks over. Sorry for the extra creases, they aren't meant to be there.

Fold the whole model in half, it should look like this.

Unfold and turn over. Next we need to make two creases where these lines are. Notice where they end and start.

Fold over one side at a time.

And it should look like this!

Collapse the whole model like so.

Fold back one wing like so, and make sure the blue line, is level with the green line.

Like this!

Repeat on the other side.

Finally adjust your last few folds to your liking. And that's the finished butterfly!
