STEPS
TOOLS
If you know how to make a square or have origami paper, skip to step 5
Fold the paper just like the start of a paper airplane, so that there is a point in the corner and the right edge lines up perfectly with the left one.
Fold up the bottom section so that it is in perfect line with the bottom of the triangle
Unfold the square and use either your hands or a pair of scissors to separate the square from the rectangle.
I am using my black origami paper now because I want a black bat. If you are using colored paper, start on the white side and fold in half to make a triangle.
Fold from the right to the left to make another triangle.
Unfold
Take one corner and fold along the center crease so that it meets perfectly with the edges.
Fold the flap down to meet the bottom middle.
Fold the top part of the paper to meet the outside edge of the paper.
Repeat on the other side. This is what it should look like (a square if all of the pieces are pushed down)
Flip the model over
Fold the top of the square (should appear to be two pieces of paper) to the bottom to form a triangle
Fold both pieces halfway up so that a triangle sticks up over the model
Fold it partially down to the other side
This is what it should look like from the other side
Turn it back over and take the corner and line it up with the center crease and fold
Do the same with the other side
Pinch each flap
Pull them away from each other to open the wings
Yay! The bat is finished :D
