How to fit metal frames

Most frame shops will sell you a bag with all you the hardware you need except the wire and the tools.

The 2 part corner brackets will go into the frame corner like this. When you tighten the screw the brackets will hold the frame securely.

Put 3 legs together and slide your art into the channel. You should never slide your art against the glass. It is better to hold them together when inserting in the frame.

Add the 4th leg and tighten the screws. Carefully turn the piece over and look for fuzzies or smudges then return it to the face down position.

Add spring clips to the back. You will push them down and then slide them under the lip of the frame. Put them every 3 or 4 inches.

Add the hanging devices. The will slip into the channel with the hole pointing toward the middle of the picture. They are hung about 1/4 of the way down the side.

Tighten it down.

Add wire. I like to loop the wire through the hole twice and pull it tight.

Wrap the wire in a tight coil
