You really want to get recommendations. This is better then reviews from strangers (oh the irony), or screenshots. That being said, let me recommend a few. Following are my favorite editing apps.
#1 = Repix! This app is free to download, with some free effects and has in app purchases. You can get everything for $5.99. I did get this, believe me it's totally worth every penny!!
Open up the app once it's downloaded.
You'll see several styluses at the bottom. For this sunset photo I added some stars.
You can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, etc...
Frames are fun! Click on a frame to apply to your photo. Click on it again to change the frame color from white to black.
Crop your photo if you want...
And save to your camera roll! So awesome! Following are some examples of photos I've edited through Repix.
In this image I used the "stains" effect and the "cracks" effect in an attempt to make the photo look old.
This photo has the "Hollywood" color filter applied.
I used the "tags" effect on this picture.
Gotta love the flares. This is a little overdone IMO but I wanted to show what could be done.
Vintage and sepia filters layered. Stains and crack effects.
All the birds were added to this photo. Click on the "ravens" stylus and hold your finger on the photo where you want the birds. They fly around on your screen as long as you hold your finger down.
That's so few of Repix's awesome filters and effects. I recommend it 100%.
Next app! #2 *for selfies/headshots* Perfect365 is an awesome make up app for the ladies! Best of all, it's free!
Open up the app after it's downloaded
Select the camera, or choose a photo from your albums...

Adding the key points. The app itself is very intuitive in guessing these, but sometimes you might have to move around a dot or two. Just press and hold on the blue dot to move it.
Once you have set the key points, you are able to select a style. The styles are basically presets for makeup. Once you select a style, you can then edit it.
The bar on the right-hand side allows you to fade the effect.
You can add eyelashes, or eyeliner, or brighten your eyes.
Save your image to your camera roll by pressing the button in the top right-hand corner.

Before and after!
The thing that's great about this app, is that you can do minimum fine-tuning, or absolutely ridiculous make up. Have fun and enjoy Perfect 365!
App #3! Introducing: Over A great app with lots of free artwork to add to your photo, as well as several fancy fonts (20+) to use.
Open up the app after it's downloaded
Choose a photo to open, or select camera and take one
Select "add artwork"
There are several packages, the one in this screenshot is the "fresh exchange package." Click on the artwork you would like to appear on your photo, and then select a color.
You can then adjust the size, opacity, crop or tint your image.
Or, you can select add text. Type the word- or words, and select your color.
You can then go back to the circle menu, and select your preferred font.
Save your photo by clicking the save button in the circle menu.
You have saved your photo, enjoy enhancing your photos over and over again. (Pun intended) 😉
