How to find the the area and perimitor of a trapezoid

First you must find the formula of a trapezoid

Then you must find the materials you need

Then you have to find the dimensions (height ,base , legs) (5cm,8cm,6cm)

Then plug the dimensions in the correct places of the formula

Then add you two bases together and plug it in to your answer

Then find your answer of your bases and height when multiplied ( mine was 70)

Then find your final answer by dividing my previous answer be 2( answer 35)

This is how you find area of a trapezoid

Perimeter

P=6+6+6+8 You need to add all your dimetions of your trapezoid together .

P=12+6+8 It is easier to add one at a time to figure out the perimeter .

P=12+14 Then continue adding the dimensions of your shape

P=12+14 P=26 Then add both together to finally figure to Out the perimeter of a trapezoid. The answer is the total length around your shape .(my answer 26cm)
