As you can see the creek is pushing a plant down stream and it's about to hit the side and stop (Deposition)
The water takes the rocks off of the land moving it down along with lots of other rocks (Erosion)

Overtime pieces of rock and dirt weather off (weathering)
Fast wind pushes rock (weathering)
The stick gets pushed Down the river by the flow of the water (Deposition)
The stick hits the side and stops (Deposition)
The plants grew up through the rock spitting it in half (erosion)
As the water goes over the rock year after year it shapes the rock making it have ridges and holes taking the smaller particles down the river (erosion)
Wind and rain weathers the rock away over millions of years (weathering)
Wind and water pushes and carries the mulch to the driveway at the bottom (Deposition)
The rock was split open because of the root digging into the rock (weathering)
The tree roots hold together dirt preventing erosion to happen
In my old house I used to have a creek an in that creek there was a fence right in the middle so it would stop all of the deposition from going down stream
If you pot plants it can prevent weathering by holding it together
