If someone puts you in a front choke hold there is a really easy way to get out of it.

First, you need to spread your legs. Then you need to take a big step to the left or right. Bring your arm over and wrap the attackers hands with your arm. From here you can elbow with the free arm.

This is what you do if someone puts you in a back choke hold.

First, you need to spread your legs so you can take a big step around. This is similar to what you do in a front choke hold except you use the other arm to trap the attackers hands.

Once you trap the attackers hands you will be facing the attacker. One of your arms will be free. Use that arm to punch or elbow the attacker. You can also use your legs to kick or knee the attacker.
