To start off your day, you will be hiking fun forest trails. Along the path, you will see questions like the one above. You will also get a iPad mini for taking pictures and recording data.
If you look closely, you will be able to spot different tracks or other interesting things. Be on the look out for dear tracks, and yes, dear scat too. Because if you do, a dear might be near by!
Although the OLC is fun, you will be learning a lot, too. The tree uses the suns energy to make its own food so it grow from the roots.
Next stop, there will be word problems that you and your group solve together. After solving one, you will hike a little bit more and then have another word problem. That will be the order.
Here is another problem you might face. You'll get to have a warrior bead for every single math problem you solve.
Soon you will come to your next stop: fossils. You will get to find and keep your own fossil! Remember to choose wisely, because you only get one and every single one is special in its own way.
After those, you will get to look at skeletons and different animal bones. If you're lucky you will see animal furs too. Remember to record things in your iPad mini!
Here is a picture of a track. Can you guess what the track is? This will be a stopping point, but you might get to do even more fun privileges at it!
What I did was took pictures of the living life and algae. Then the teacher asked "Can you figure out how many gallons of water there is in this tank?" We solved the problem, got a answer, and finished.
The last thing we did was plant tulips, but we had to spit the garden in 17's so we had one and the other school had one. We split the group in half and we all planted our tulip in our piece of garden.
