How to dress for gymnastics

Own lots of leotards!

These are competition leos. These are usually more sparkly and decorated. Custom competition leotards are usually around $60 - $100. (These aren't custom)

These are dance leotards. These are comfortable and flexible, great for going to practice!

These are spandex shorts. I like to wear these over leotards!

They come in many different styles!

This is something a relaxed coach will let you wear. You can also wear this if you don't have any clean leotards. Be sure to check your coach's rules!

Wear you hair in a tight high ponytail! If you have short hair, this isn't necessary. For short hair just wear cotton headbands. Some leotards come with matching scrunchies.

DON'T WEAR YOUR GLASSES!!!!!

Instead, wear contacts or noting at all!

Here is something a relaxed coach will let you wear.

Here is an example a somewhat coach will let you wear. I layered a leotard under this tank and wore velour spandex.

Here is something I would wear. A dance Leo with spandex.

This is something for a competition, a metallic leotard.

Here is something to wear before and after practice.

Store your leotards in you closet, or...

In a drawer like me! Just don't fold them!
