I only use wooden pencils for drawing. I have found that mechanical ones don't fill my cup of tea. But if you perfect them, use 'em

If you use a sharpie, you might want to use the fine tipped ones.

Find your picture. I like this one. It fits his personality.

Start by drawing the basket. I would draw lightly too.

Continue adding on to the basket and add hands.

Now the arm....

Add the body and feet... Okay the body took me a bit. It seemed to be way to big.... But yogi is a big bear.

Now the collar.

Tie... I went ahead and drew over the arm to get the tie right

Finish tie and erase lines

Now the face. Once you get it started, it's not as hard as it seems.

Add a mouth and finish the nose.

Do the eyes and the hat. The hat doesn't look correct to me, but I'm content with it.

Make you black strip on the hat and fill in the eyes.

Go over it with pen or a sharpie. I used a sharpie this time. I haven't tried a sharpie until now.

Let the pen/sharpie drive so you don't smear it when erasing.

Erase the pencil marks.

Color in the spots I did. Sorry I forgot about the nose. But I just drew a bumpy oval and colored it

Now your done!!!!

At this point, you can leave it how I is. Or you can color it in.
