How to draw semi-realistic lips

drawing a cross sorta helps me! u don't have to do this though

draw the outline of your lips.

sorry blurry picture, but make a "stretched out u" going through the middle cross:) connect the "u". it will look horrible until we add some features I'm the future;)

I don't know if u can tell, but I fixed the bottom lip. make sure spat the corners of the mouth, the are curved!!! that's a huge mistake people do:/

this is when your imagination can run wild;) outline the whole lip, in any shape u want!! I want mine to be more realistic so I'm keepin it simple.

now shade the whole lip in different directions (with the middle line) and smudge with your finger

now the lines should have faded, so re-outline the whole thing:)

now, to highlight! so just erase one corner of the whole lip a tiny bit. after that ad some lines that might have been erased too much

DO NOT forget to shade where the lips curl in. like under the lips I guess!

shade around the whole mouth, and your done:) I love drawing lips, even though I just started, because they are so much fun!

I'd recommend drawing different shapes of lips over and over again, to get used to it:)
