Here is the sketch of the basic features; it doesn't have to be perfect
Drawing tip: the first sketch is often the hardest since All the facial features need to be in proportion; draw lightly because you'll probably be tweaking it as you continue to draw.
I started shading at the eye
Tip: shading is meant to blend the lines of your sketch into the rest of your Daqing in a realistic way. They should blend in all the thin sketch lines
Another tip: note that I didn't color in the black of the eye evenly and that the white part of the eye isn't all white, it still needs to be blended and there is a slight shadow on it.
Here I shaded the eyebrow and the side of the face
The other eye has shading that leads to the nose, and the forehead is also shaded on the sides
Here I did some shading near the jawbone
Yah
Lip shading, notice that the corners are the darkest part, the upper lip is darker than the lower lip, and the lower lip has a highlight... So glossy lol
The top and the bottom of the teeth are filled in very lightly, don't separately draw each tooth
Idk what this is
Yay it's so BLURRY !111!!!!!11!!11
Here is the shading for the right cheek
See how I see in smile lines leaning to the corner of her mouth? DONT do this, it makes her look like an old grandma princess
Neck shading is darkest just under the chin
This is the top detail on the neckline of the dress, it's darkest in the middle and has gathers leading to the shoulder
Lightly shaded the rest of the dress and the arms, notice the directions of the shadows
This is an example of shading hair, it's drawn in groups that are darkest at the ends and highlighted in the center, has long thin strands all the way through
Here is the hair on top of the head, make sure you know which way the hair should be going
YAY Tada it's finished! I darkened some of the shadows and blended a few with my finger for the finishing touch! Thanks for reading my guide and remember to "like" it! Hope it was helpful to you
