How to draw and color a basic anime girl

First, decide which way your character will be facing and draw it that way.

Next, you lightly sketch the hair. (you can do the facial features at this step, but personally, I like doing hair first)

You can do various types of different hair styles <333 (I love braids)

Add the neck and shoulder.

Sketch the shirt/outfit. Since I SUCK at hands and legs, I will not be doing them ^_^

Put in detail to the hair and the outfit and darken the line.

Draw the face.

Outline your character. (I used blue shin sharpie)

Draw the hair's shadow with marker. (I used copper E18 copic marker in this picture)

color your hair with a base color lighter than the shadow (I used Dark Suntan E15 copic marker) and with a white gel pen, or a white paint, draw the light spots.

Color the base colors of your outfit/shirt. (I used R46(red), R43(lighter red), and E000(white/tan) copic markers for the shirt)

Shadow/lighten the shirt with a white gel pen/white paint.

Draw the blush on the face. (used E93 copic ciao marker)

Draw the shadow on the face from the hair. (used E11 copic ciao marker)

Color the rest of the face with a lighter color. (used E00 and E000 copic ciao marker for face)

Lighten the face with a white gel pen <3 (almost done!)
