STEPS
TOOLS
Draw a small circle in the middle of your page with pencil.
Separate it into quarters using small dashes, like this.
Now eighths, so it looks like this!
Draw a petal using the dashes to determine the width of the petal.
Draw all 8 flowers, trying to make them as even as possible!
Draw a swirl in the middle of the flower.
Draw another loop above the petals like this.
Repeat for all of the petals.
Shade this bit in.
Do this for all the petals!
Draw a squiggly line inside the petal, like this. Go about halfway up the petal.
Do this for every second petal, like this.
Draw a tiny circle above the squiggly line.
Repeat for all petals that have the squiggly line.
Draw two dashes from the base of the inner petal, like this.
Do this for every second petal.
Draw a circle above the petals, about this far up.
Repeat for every petal!
Draw a swirl that starts from the bottom of the dot (thats closet to the petal) curves to one side, then inwards and to the petal, like this.
Repeat for every dot.
Draw eight little humps around the top of the petal next to the swirl. I did four per side, like this.
Repeat for every petal.
Draw eight more humps on the swirl, starting at the bottom around to the top like this.
Repeat for all swirls.
Draw a straight line from where the base of two petals meet, almost to the end of the petal.
Repeat for every intersection.
Draw a very light dot above the swirl like this.
Repeat.
Draw a curve from the end of the line to the small dot, like this.
Repeat for the other side, but try to round the top.
Repeat for all petals.
Draw a loop above the second petal like this.
Repeat for all of the second layer of petals.
Shade in here like this.
Repeat for all second layer petals.
Draw a triangle (inside the petal) above the swirl and two circles next to the swirl, like this. Adding details just makes it look more complicated and eye-catching!
Repeat for all the petals.
Draw an upside-down triangle between the gaps of the petals like this.
Draw lines across it going two ways like this.
Repeat, drawing triangles and detailing them like this!
Draw a small circle above the triangles.
Repeat for all triangles.
At this point, you can choose to outline/go over the flower with your marker. I chose not to though.
And you have a Beautiful, Abstract & Intricate Flower!!
