How to draw a teenage mutant ninja turtle

Start by making two parenthesis. These will be your turtles cheeks (face cheeks). 🐢

Draw two curved lines connecting the top & bottoms of the cheeks.

Next, pick a mouth for your turtle. This style is more of a grimace.

Here is a sad attempt at a two sided grimace. You can also make your turtle smiling. The possibilities are endless. 🌈

Add some choppers. I curve my teeth lines a little to give them some dimension.

Next, add a bone shape to the top of the nose. This will be his bandana. Draw this lightly because you may have to adjust later.

Now top off his head with another curved line.

Eyes are a bit trickier. The type of eye you pick depends on the mouth. This is a good example of the different types of mouths and eyes. Notice all the eyes come from the nose. No complete circles.

I went with the grimace eye. Not my best, but you get the idea.

Add a number 3 shape to the right side of the bandana. This will be the knot.

And finish it off with two ends shaped like leaves or petals.

Add in color or shading.

Add either blue, red, orange or purple to the bandana. I used a fine tip sharpie.

Light green colored pencil works well for a base shade for the "skin".

A darker shade of green for the parts to show depth.

Erase all pencil marks and you're done!😋
