How to draw a plumeria

Start from the center of the flower

1st pedal. Draw a "j" like curve or half a heart. Note: while drawing the pedals I found it easier to turn the paper after each pedal, resulting in a complete 360 when finished

2nd pedal. Make sure that the "front" only goes 1/2 down the "back" distance

3rd pedal.

4th pedal

5th pedal

Lightly sketch lines from the center towards the end, curving them in the same way the pedals are curved

Repeat 5 times, again turn the paper for better results

From the center, shade the bottom of the pedal, all the way around

...

With your finger smear the shade from center to end of flower

It should look like this...repeat till every pedal is smeared

Add the stem

Add more light strokes from center to end

Sketch a curve on the "back" of all the pedals

Slightly darken the center of the plumeria
