How to draw a manga girl (head)

Start with a circle! It doesn't have to be perfect.

Draw two short lines coming down from the circle.

Connect the two short lines with two curved lines.

Draw guidelines for the head. I'm drawing her in 3/4 view.

Add a neck and shoulders if you like.

Make the shape of the first eye.

And then the second eye. Note: Because of the angle, one of the eyes appears to be larger than the other.

Draw the bottoms of the eyes

Add the irises in with curved lines.

Eyelashes....

And then eye creases and eyebrows!

Add details to the eyes, which is the shines and pupil. Remember not to add too many shines!

Add the mouth and nose. You can do these however you please!

*just me redoing the eyebrows.

Add the bangs of the hair now. Make sure to keep it light, and not plastered onto her head!

Finish your hairstyle! I went with a ponytail this time.

Fill in your pupils.

Shade your eyes by going from dark to light.

* Just fixing her mouth, to give her a more "smug" look.

Inking! This is, of course optional. When inking, make sure you make your lines fast, or they will look sloppy.

You can add some more detail. I added a shirt.

Erase all the extra pencil lines!

You can now go ahead and shade!
