First, simply draw a circle, this will be his head eventually so draw it depending on how big you want the dog to be!

Then, just underneath draw a baked bean shape! This will be his body!

For the next step, connect the head to the corners of the baked bean and draw a snout shape, sloping from the head. Easy so far, right?

Draw on the legs. The front leg is straight down at the front and curved at the back. The back leg is curved at the front and the back follows the curve. For his feet draw 4 little bumps.

As you can see I have also drawn a tail but you can draw the tail anyway you want depending on how you want the dog to look!

Ok so we have drawn the structure but we need features! I draw his eyes with 2 triangles and a dot in the corner. His ear is also a triangle! I draw a big curvy line for a smile, up to his eye!

To finish off, rub out lines and add details like a collar, spots, patches ect.. Now you have a dog that you can colour in later or leave as your own dog cartoon!
