Draw block letters

Like with shapes find the corners you will use to draw lines from.

Draw lines extending at an angle from the corners of the letter

Draw lines inside the letter also at the same angle as the outside.

Like this.

Line your ruler up with the angles of the letter like so.

Keeping the same angle move the ruler to the side and draw a line

Repeat this on the top of the letter.

Also line up the ruler on the inside of the letter.

Connect all the lines

Erase any extra line

Block letters are easier then rounded letters.

Now here are some rounded letters to try.

Notice the dots, where I will extend my angled lines.

Lines have been extended.

Instead of drawing straight lines you will have to draw curved lines that match the curves of the letter.

An even harder curved letter "C"

Find the areas where the letter curves these will serve as your corners. Notice the dots.

Extend angled lines in those directions.

Mimic the curve of the "C" onto those angled lines.

Now try one going a different direction. Here is an M

Find all the angles.

Erase the extra lines.

Now try your own and good luck.
