How to do watermelon nails

Apply base coat.

Do one or two coats of white polish.

This is what you get when you use the makeup sponge.

This is what it look like. Pinkie and ring finger done with sponge. Pointer and middle done with a toothpick.

You can also just use the polish brush and lightly brush the green on the tip of your nails.

I'm doing the outside of the watermelon on my thumb. So I put a bunch of green polish on the makeup sponge and put it all over my thumb nail.

I used a nail art brush, you can use a toothpick (dotting tool, whatever) and make lines. You can make them straight.

You use a toothpick (dotting tool, whatever to make black dots, the seeds. You can do as many or as few as you want. Random or organized.... Black dots.

Someone just gave me these, and I'm trying them for the first time, on my ring finger. You can get these at Claire's, or micro beads at any craft store. .

Use a q-tip or small brush and use remover and clean up around your nails.

Add topcoat. If you used micro beads, be really careful not to nudge them out of place, but use a lot of topcoat. It's what will keep the beads on your nail.
