SetaSkrib fabric paints and markers
Grab you plain canvas shoes. They don't have to be white, stamping and painting on any colour would look great.
Pencil in your designs
I personalised them by putting her name on them.
Choose your colour combinations Then start colouring.
Thicken the downward strokes of you lettering
This is a stamp that I drew and cut out of an eraser. Draw over stamp with SetaSkrib marker then stamp directly onto canvas.
This will be the body of my butterfly.
Sketch in the butterfly copying a picture you like
Add in its antennae!
A very small flower stamp saved me from drawing them. You could use just stamps for the whole shoe if you wanted. I spread a thin layer of SetaSkrib paint on my pallet to stamp into.
Press firmly onto canvas using one hand inside the shoe to press against
I went around the top edge in pink to tie in the pink from the back of the shoe. My daughter has to wear pink as often as she can, so I better add some more pink.
A word stamp.
Touch up the stamps with your markers. I did this with the flowers too. It helps tie in the colours.
Add some swirls around lettering and some more Pink.
Too cute!
Aren't they just the sweetest?
'Oh Mum I love these, are these for me'. My 5 yr olds response when she saw them for the first time.
